Welcome to our website! Our lab is housed within the Biological Systems Engineering Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The aim of our research is to provide producers in the Great Lakes Region, as well as their advisors, information that encourages the adoption of appropriate conservation measures to tackle nutrient goals. We work closely with community partners to monitor conservation measures in the field and represent agroecosystem processes in computer models to assist with assessing conservation effectiveness on the watershed or regional scale. Our research also involves investigating the human dimensions of land and water management to increase scientific confidence in conservation effectiveness and clear, trusted avenues of communication with land managers.
